Little Jackson is one of the cutest little guys EVER!! His mom Jessica contacted me to take some pictures of him for her mom and mom-in-law's Mother's Day presents. This was a big deal for me for two reasons. First, I work with her mom and had to make sure I didn't accidentally tell her, and two, her mom-in-law is a fellow photographer. I really wanted to make sure I took pictures that another photographer would enjoy looking at. Mission accomplished. I think that both moms loved the pictures, but how could they not with such a cute subject.

This tractor was so cool! I couldn't help but get a picture of it!

This is a picture of Jackson's great granddad. He couldn't be there in person, but he was in everyone's hearts for sure!

Meet Chelsey and Zack. They are one of my summer wedding bookings and good friends. Their engagement session this Spring was so much fun and beautiful. As most people do, they started off acting like they really didn't know what to do, but by the end of our session, they were naturals. Their pictures really show that they are in love. I think these are some of the sweetest pictures I have taken yet. Their wedding pics will be posted soon.

Simply Young: BHS Prom 2011

Back in March, I had the opportunity to catch some pictures of some fabulous BHS prom goers. Even though the rain tried to scare us away (It did keep us from our original location.), we got some really great shots. I have to say, despite the grey skies, the pictures turned out beautiful, and we managed to keep the girls dresses dry as well. YAY!

So since these pictures have been taken, Samantha and Mike's precious Maggie has made her debut, but I still want to share their maternity pictures with you. We had a blast stomping around New Market. We visited many fields, downtown, the river, and even a friends soon to be home!! The pictures turned out great. Maggie is a blessed little girl!!

Okay, so reading the title of the blog in the middle of this heat wave we are having in Alabama might make you wonder if I am going crazy. Rest assured, my mental health is just fine. However, I am behind on my blogging and these pictures were taken in much cooler days. When we had our first big Christmas snow, my sister-in-law and I had the crazy idea to get the kiddos (Anna and Hayden) dressed up and take some snow pictures. Well it was a great idea in theory, but Hayden's eyes are extremely sensitive to the sun. All of the white snow reflected the sun, and poor Hayden couldn't keep his eyes open. However, they were troopers and really did a good job of dealing with the FREEZING cold weather. We didn't get many shots, but the ones that did turn out are so cute! Here are a few of my favorites!!!

Sweet Reese (or Reese Piece as I call her) is so precious. I was thrilled to get to take these pictures of my beautiful niece. There isn't much to say about them. They speak for themselves. I hope you enjoy these pictures as much as my family has!

She is laying on all of the baby quilts that Bobby and Andrea received at baby showers. Can you tell that she is a loved girl?

Meet Caden. A super cutie who absolutely had a blast when I did his pictures. It really wasn't his personality to sit down and smile for pictures, so we went to Tate Farms for some pumpkin picking fun. I just chased him around all afternoon catching cute little moments. This is the Mason families second time to contact me for family portraits! ( Yay, I have repeat customers) Last time we used downtown Fayetteville, TN for our location, but this time we stayed a little closer to home. Why should we go anywhere else when we live in such a beautiful rural area. The rustic look of these pictures make them some of my favorites. Plus I was able to use some of my new filters on them!!! Andrea and Bobby are my brother-in-law and sister-in-law. I was so excited when they asked me to do some maternity pictures for them. For the pictures, we just stayed close to home. However, the pictures were really great. They are some of my favorites. Enjoy!!

Just a couple of weeks after their maternity shoot, Andrea and Bobby welcomed the newest member of our family into the world. Reese was born with the most hair I have ever seen on a baby, and she is absolutely beautiful!!

I can't believe it, but Maddie is one year old. Okay so I am behind on posting, and she turned one in September. However, it still doesn't seem like this precious little girl should be a year old. She is my Tutu Girl. Poor thing, her mom and I had a tutu on her when she was just a few weeks old, and we just keep putting them on her!! But they are so darn cute, and they make great pictures!! Anyways, who wouldn't wear a tutu for a Gigi's Cupcake?!

Clayton is the cutest little boy ever! His three-year-old pictures were so much fun to capture. I had quite a time getting him to sit still, but I think that is what makes these pictures so cute! They are very true to his personality. His mom and I did trick him into standing still for a few minutes by telling him Buzz and Woody were in my camera lens!! Catching Up!!!

Okay so I haven't posted anything in well... FOREVER!! Student teaching in the Fall kind of put me behind a little, but I have graduated from college and have some free time on my hands. I have made it my New Year's resolution to keep this thing updated and put my photography business out there to rope in some new customers!!! 2011 is going to bring great things. I have already booked a few family sessions and a wedding that I am very excited to shoot!! I am also working on two other weddings!! YAY!!

For everyone out there who is not familiar with my work, I hope to be posting some price lists and contact info ASAP!!! This is really my passion, and I want to share it with everyone!!

I was blessed to have the opportunity to take some fabulous maternity pictures with a wonderful couple. Jennifer and Brad have to be one of the happiest couples I have ever met, and now they are going to bring a little bundle of joy into this world. Justin and Faith are my very first wedding couple. They obviously trust me a lot! I work with this couple, and I am truly honored to do these pics! Last weekend was a beautiful weekend to take some wonderful fall pictures. I had two family sittings. This is the Rutherfords: Kelly, Kevin, Baily, and Eric. I go to church with this family. Hey guys! Sorry I haven't posted in a while! Homework has been KILLER!! But luckily I have a little break for a while! I finally finished editing my first family and pet portraits! Nick, Casey, and Lola (their adorable puppy!) took some great pictures! Lola had the most wardrobe changes! She was so cute! She even had a Halloween costume! The pictures turned out great, and we had a blast! We learned that if you need a puppy to look at the camera, hold some candy above the photographer's head!

Thursday, Holly and I were able to finish her senior session. We got some great shots this time as well. The vibe of this session was totally different from the last. Today I took some absolutely beautiful senior shots of my friend Holly. We had a blast shooting in Big Spring Park and downtown New Market. Our shoot was cut short in Huntsville because of the torrential downpours, but we took advantage of the rain and got some great pictures. I plan to meet with Holly again soon to finish the session! Welcome to my blog! I am very excited about my new photography "business." I say business but I really think of it more as a hobby. Hopefully soon I can add some photos. My first posts will probably be of a couple of weddings that I attended the past two weekends. Hopefully, I will get some family pictures up soon it if ever stops raining.
